Plume Resturant at Runner Duck Vineyard – Matakana

This 8 acre boutique Matakana winery grows some interesting varietal’s worth stopping past to try (some of which are made into blends); Chardonnay, Albarino, Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Merlot, Sangiovese and Petit Verdot. At the cellar door you’ll usually be greeted by the owner.

Our personal fav wine at Plume is the Runner Duck Sangiovese which we enjoyed with a vineyard platter. Pick from in door or outdoor dining to suit your requirements and if you have a minute or two during your visit take a short stroll around the front yard which has the resturant’s kitchen garden.
