** Nosh Restaurant Now Open **

Newly opened – we were excited to see and review this new addition to the Cambridge area.

“Where flavors meet creativity! Bringing a unique fusion of global cuisines to Cambridge, located on 103 Swayne Road. Follow us for updates, behind-the-scenes moments, and an unforgettable dining journey. Opening soon—stay tuned!”

From the moment you pull up outside Nosh Restaurant in Cambridge, you can see why it has cost the owners 2 million dollars to build and fit out. Everything is new, from the building, to the furniture, the liquor at the bar and even the uniforms.

Despite these efforts, we felt that the atmosphere was somewhat sterile – the exposed concrete walls, dark ceiling and minimalist lighting are indeed nice, but it doesn’t provide for a warm atmosphere. The windows, which are only really on one side of the building face east (with a few downstairs to the south), and given they only open at 10am weekdays and 11am in the weekend, there will be no sunlight inside. Booth seating both upstairs and down provides a nice, cosy setting for small groups.

In speaking to the manager, it certainly sounds like the restaurant and bar have been booked out from 5pm-8pm every night of the opening week, which is great, but we do wonder once the appeal of visiting the new place in town wears off how long this will last.

The food was nice, but no “wow” factor, and given some of the reviews so far, people find the prices very high.

A nice outlook with strong potential. Key word is trying! The food was 6/10 (lamb shank and goat curry) relative to the “finer dining” prices. The lamb was luke warm and although the truffle sauced mashed potatoes was delicious, you wonder if they went heavy on the sauce. Goat curry was goat curry, nothing spectacular, but perhaps a little less gravy, no sugar and large pieces with or without bone as tradition intended might have suited the venue better?

The lighting was perhaps a touch bright, perhaps bulbs with less brightness and a warmer tone to them! The cutlery looked like something from Kmart. The tiles up the stairs looked like they should be around a bathtub, large dark colored tiles might suit the “industrial” vibe better.

Long term success in Cambridge would require attention to detail. People are happy to come back and pay for food or drink when it is done well.

+ PROS: Location, friendly staff, above average food
    - CONS: See above for details.

The restaurant is new, and staff are trying hard, but the space feels cramped. We were seated at a narrow table by the mezzanine, very close to larger groups—not ideal for a night out. The chicken skewers were dry and processed, the basa overly salty and wet. Lamb shanks were the highlight—tender, though a bit salty. Naan was thin and too crisp. Wine options were limited; 150ml of Montepulciano cost $23. The menu is quite limited, especially for vegetarians.

+ PROS: Staff are friendly and trying hard. Braised lamb shanks were tender and enjoyable. Stylish new venue with potential.
    - CONS: Cramped seating; lack of intimacy for small parties. Most food missed the mark. Limited vegetarian options. High wine price for a small pour. Restaurant wasn't overly busy, there were an abundance of staff, however, service was painfully slow

We have eaten twice at Nosh since it has opened and will definitely keep coming back. The staff have been so lovely and accommodating, and even organised a gluten free pasta meal for my daughter on the spot which was not necessary but very appreciated. The curries we have tried so far we have loved, specifically the butter chicken, paneer and goat curries. Beautiful naan breads and have repeat ordered the meatballs and garlic prawns - delicious. Fast becoming one of our favourite restaurants!

We had a wonderful family dinner at Nosh Restaurant Cambridge. The menu has a great selection of multi cuisine dishes and everything we tried was delicious and well presented. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. There is plenty of parking, which is a big plus. I was so full but already picked out what I want to try next time. Lot more dishes to try. Definitely coming back soon.

Super impressed with Nosh. Plenty to chose from on the menu. Have visited twice ... 1st visit was opening lunch the 2nd a few days later. Butter chicken and naan bread is super tasty and hubby had a lamb shank on the 2nd visit which was presented beautifully and he said it was devine (and is already picking out his next meal ...). Staff are extremely welcoming and it was lovely to met one chef.

Visited Nosh Cambridge and so happy it delivered beyond expectations. The Mushroom starter dish was phenomenal. Each member of my table loved our cocktails and meals. The vibes were amazing and the environment was aesthetically pleasing so of course I had to snap a few photos.Overall, I’m very happy with the experience Nosh provided for me and my family. We will definitely be returning.

We decided to try Nosh for dinner since it’s the newest place in town. The menu we saw online looked great, but once we were seated, we found out it had changed. There were fewer options, and most dishes seemed overpriced for what they were.We ended up ordering two cocktails and the Heritage Butter Chicken, as everything else felt a bit too expensive. The butter chicken cost $30 for just four small pieces of chicken, and we had to pay an extra $5 for plain rice. Keep in mind, sides aren’t included — so whatever you order, expect to add at least $5 more to the price. The staff were lovely, but unfortunately the food didn’t live up to the price. The butter chicken was bland, even though we asked for medium spice.Overall, we were disappointed. If you’re after value for money, you might be better off supporting your local takeaway instead.
