The first thing that hits you when you walk in the door of Makana Chocolate Factory in Blenheim is the amazing smell! Yum & yum! You’re then spoilt by being offered some free tasty samples of what could be some of the best chocolate confectionary that you’ve ever tasted! While having a little sample, take a minute to watch through the glass the team making the delicious treats right there in front of you.

Makana Confections specialises in hand-made confections using only the freshest, natural ingredients available.

We love the Very Berry Toffee Crunch brittle and the Zesty Fruit bark! There’s a great retail range to purchase from which could make a nice take home treat or a gift for someone special.

Should be lucky to visit both, Makana has two two boutique chocolate factories in New Zealand — one in the beautiful Bay of Islands area of the North Island, and the other in the heart of the Marlborough Wine Trail at the top of the South Island.
