HK Station(HKS) Waffle and Gelato – Manawa Bay (Auckland)

HK Station Waffle and Gelato in Mānawa Bay, Auckland, is a unique dessert destination offering delicious treats, including the traditional Bubble Waffle, a popular street snack from Hong Kong since the 1950s. Made from a mixture of eggs, sugar, flour, and evaporated milk, the waffle is cooked in special honeycomb molds, resulting in a golden, crispy exterior and a soft, elastic interior.

Originally cooked over charcoal, modern methods now use electronic ovens. In 2015, the Egg Waffle was recognized as a Michelin snack. Founded in 2018, HK Station aims to share this iconic street food with New Zealand, offering not only Bubble Waffles but also Checkered Waffles, Hong Kong-style milk tea, and customized bubble-waffle ice cream, blending traditional craftsmanship with innovative flavors.
