Terra Sancta Winery Bannockburn
Terra Sancta is a distinguished winery located in Bannockburn, Central Otago, New Zealand. The estate comprises four vineyards and a winery, all situated in this premium subregion. The Terra Sancta Estate on Felton Road, established in 1991, is the oldest vineyard in Bannockburn.
The winery specializes in Pinot Noir, which accounts for approximately 80% of its vineyard area. Notable Pinot Noir offerings include the Slapjack Block, Jackson’s Block, Shingle Beach, and Mysterious Diggings. Terra Sancta also produces acclaimed rosés, with the Estate Rosé being the only wine of its color to receive the top “Classic” designation in Michael Cooper’s Wine Guide to New Zealand Wines over 27 years.
Beyond Pinot Noir, Terra Sancta crafts white wines such as Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Riesling, and Gewürztraminer. The winery also offers unique products like the Aperitivo Botanical, made from 16 botanicals foraged around their vineyards, and a luxurious Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
Visitors can experience Terra Sancta’s offerings at their cellar door located at 306 Felton Road, Bannockburn. The cellar door operates from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. Tastings are priced at $15, with one tasting fee redeemable per bottle purchased. Members of the Terra Sancta Wine Club enjoy complimentary tastings.
