Such a treasure, Marsden estate has been a long time favourite of ours for years now. If you have time dine on the terrace over looking the lake while tasting unique wines from Marsden’s 10 acre block. You’ll find some grapes varietal’s that are hard to find in New Zealand for example: Muscat, Merlot, Pinotage, Chambourcin, Syrah and Tempranillo as well as some more commonly know varieties such as Pinot Gris and Chardonnay grown here.
The winery also makes some other wines on site too made with: Sauvignon Blanc (also as Fume) and Viognier. So as you can see you’d be quite spoilt for choice here when it comes to choice of wine and if you have time make a visit to Marsden Estate an experience, start by having a wine tasting followed by a scrummy lunch.
