Hallertau Brewery & Restaurant – Kumeu (Auckland)

Wondering what to do this weekend? We love the beers at Hallertau! Why not enjoy a Hallertau Session IPA at this West Auckland Brewery in the casual subtropical beer garden? Maybe order a Pizza from the stone grill too?

Look out for a DJ or some live music on a Sunday. There’s also a play ground on site to keep kids distracted if you are looking for a place that’s family friendly.

For those who are wondering, what does the word Hallertau mean? The answer is; it’s an area in Bavaria, Germany (Holledau). One of the largest hop planting areas in the world. It’s said this area produces around one third of the worlds hops!

Hallertau here in Auckland would say “Hallertau is a place that brings people together: along with the carefully selected combination of the finest hops, malt, yeast and water, it’s ideas and stories that are all heaved into the mash tun, and you can taste this liveliness in the beer”.

We think come and try it, a beer tasting paddle is a good way to start and but you can be the judge.
