The views and seating at Mudbrick are absolutely epic. Easily some of the best on Waiheke. Caroline was amazing: warm, attentive, and made the whole experience feel special. The food was fine, but it’s the setting and service that truly make it worth visiting. Hiring people like Caroline really makes the difference, turning a beautiful location into an unforgettable experience.

This is a beautiful winery with some of the most stunning landscape trees I’ve ever seen and breathtaking, picturesque views of Waiheke Island. It’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy a glass of wine—I had the $23 red, which was similar to a Shiraz and absolutely delicious. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall great experience.

We just had the most incredible 2 night stay in Olive Cottage at Mudbrick. From the moment we arrived it felt like home. All of the staff, from the waitstaff in the restaurant to Anita from housekeeping to Karen in admin, were so welcoming to us and our toddler and went above and beyond. The cottage itself was beautiful, spotlessly clean and perfectly equipped. We loved the views and the comfy beds and particularly loved having our own private path to dinner. We had a car with us so it was a very quick 5 min trip to the local village where we quickly found the best coffee and fish and chips. Mudbrick is truly magical and if we ever find ourselves in NZ again we will definitely be returning!

Extremely friendly staff, shoutout to the female staff from UK who works in the wine cellar for tastings. She’s so professional and helpful. We ended up getting two bottles from the icon tasting and one bottle from the South Island tasting. The view and the food was also superb. Great for a weekend gathering. One tiny thing is that the birds are ferocious and try not to sit under the tree if you wanna sit outdoors. We got bird poop in our dishes and on our knife. It’s not really the vineyard’s fault, just nature, and maybe be aware if you care about this sort of thing
